Job Description
The Club of Rome is an international think tank dedicated to reducing the world’s ecological footprint, promoting a better economic system and improving human well-being. The Club’s members include notable scientists, economists, businessmen, high level civil servants and former heads of state from around the world. The Club of Rome seeks an Associate Project & Communications Manager (traineeship, 12 months, full-time) Key responsibilities - Assist on-going projects and participate in their development - Manage the Club of Rome website and social media - Respond to enquiries from external individuals and organizations - Support the organization of meetings, conferences and events in Switzerland and abroad, such as the Club of Rome Annual Global Meeting - Contribute to production and distribution of publications including news releases, conference materials, presentations, and annual reports - Assist financial reporting and administrative tasks Your profile - Graduate student in Politics, Economics, Environmental Science or similar Commitment to the Club of Rome’s holistic, interdisciplinary and long-term perspective - Profound interest in global issues of social and economic development, environment, climate change and energy - Impeccable English and good knowledge of second language - Ideally practical experience in project management or communications (i.e. previous internships) - Excellent organization and multitasking skills - Computer literacy with the ability to learn fast to work in WordPress and Linux environment - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team - EEA citizen and/or a holder of a Swiss work permit What we offer - A unique opportunity to work on and learn about the communication and presentation of important, cutting-edge global issues - Responsibility for project management, communications and event organisation in an international and inter-disciplinary working environment - A competitive monthly salary - A friendly, open-minded, and creative working atmosphere within a small team How to apply Send an e-mail to jobs@clubofrome.org with the subject header “Application Traineeship” including the following documents: 1.
