Alberino develops model projects together with Schützer der Erde e.V. We are working towards a peaceful world, free of violence, in which animal’s right to live and dignity is respected. Thus, we see advocating an organic vegetarian or vegan diet as a core theme of our projects for children and young adults. We believe it to be important to especially inform children about the consequences of their actions and demonstrate to them alternative decisions, as it is proven that eating habits are formed in early childhood. Throughout childhood these habits aren’t as consolidated as later on.

Throughout several years of working on model projects we have developed a unique pedagogical concept which has been published as a handbook titled “Das Erdschützerprojekt”. Our concept has received various awards. Currently we are seeking to distribute it to a wider area, as a free-time or extracurricular activity as well as to schools. For this purpose we have a training program for young people to become “Erdschützerjugendbegleiter” (perhaps ”qualified earth protector companion and teacher” would be an adequate translation). These people are enabled to put our innovative pedagogical methods into practice at summer camps and day-camps, school trips, children- and youth groups etc. If they are employed in the pedagogical/ educational field they might find their new skills an enriching at work. Setting an example as an individual is considered especially important, because children can tell if protecting the earth is important for us in our daily lives and if trying day by day to cause less harm to living beings and the environment is truly part of our lifestyle.
Even for the best concept and the best methods it is only possible to spread if we can find people, who live the values we stand for.
So we offer the possibility for volunteers coming from other european countries to work with us in our project. There are different possibilities to get involved. You can participate at our training program, at our summer camps or work together with us in our office.
