Focus Association for Sustainable Development is a voluntary, independent, non-governmental and non-profit association. Our aim is to stimulate the change towards a more environmentally and socially responsible life. Focus covers mainly the following fields: climate change, energy, transport, development and sustainable consumption. Activities vary from organisation of events to street actions and policy work. As our activities are expanding, we are looking for motivated volunteers to help us carry out our work. The main activities of the volunteer would be:
- information management (weekly collection of news items and publication of e-news in English)
- communication with Europe wide environmental networks (receiving and answering emails, phone calls, project information exchange)
- support of the fundraising activities (identifying possible calls, support with preparation of documentation)
- support for implementation of street actions (support for creation of street actions, logistics, assistance with implementation)
- shaping of sustainable consumer's bulletin (development of the idea and design, proposing topics, networking with partners)

Ideally, the volunteer should have good communication skills, know the fields that Focus covers (climate, energy, transport), show a high level of self-initiative, be a team worker and a competent user of computer, show a good degree of flexibility and have practical experience in NGO type of work. Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must, other languages are advantage. We offer volunteer position for 6 – 12 months.
