The intern program in Sólheimar is focused on providing an enriching opportunity for students to engage in an educational program committed to sustainability and community in a small eco-village in southern Iceland. Sólheimar is a world-renowned community for those with special needs, and the internship program provides insight into sustainable and compassionate community living with focus on individual student learning projects.

Sólheimar offer seven internship programs which are:
1) Sesseljuhus – environmental internship
2) Forestry
3) Organic Horticulture,
4) Nærandi – Food production and Bakery,
5) Service learning (grocery store and coffee shop)
6) Art workshop (weaving, textiles, painting, ceramics, organic soap-making, candle-making, woodworking)
7) Carpentry

The 2011 internships are offered during the following sessions.

Winter 2011 Session: Monday, January 3rd -Friday, April 1st
