Nuevos Caminos is a sustainable tourism agency based in the Café Fusiones in Chachapoyas, the capital city of the amazonas region in Peru. The main aim of the agency is to offer tours around Chachapoyas, with a minimal environmental foodprint.
Nuevos Caminos principles are the following:
- Tours are guided by local people and local dishes are provided on the tours
- Educate the local people in sustainability and use local products
- Try to avoid transportation by cars, if possible the tourists walk or ride the bike
- Try to avoid waste as much as possible
- Work together with sustainable hotels and create a network of sustainable tourism
- Help local communities to become a sustainable village
